About the University:
Founded in 1950, California Baptist University is affiliated with the California
Southern Baptist Convention and is fully accredited. CBU is the only
Southern Baptist college or university on the West Coast.
The campus:
Our 103 plus acre campus reflects the Southern California environment, with
towering palm trees, mission-style buildings, and a spectacular view of the
nearby San Bernardino Mountains.
The facilities:
California Baptist University's 27 buildings include the 94,800 sq.ft. Eugene
and Billie Yeager Center, the state-of-the-art JoAnn Hawkins Music
Building, separate men's and women's residence halls, the 96-unit Lancer Arms
apartment complex for juniors and seniors, the 320-seat Wallace Book of Life
Theatre, a fitness center, an aquatic center, a central classroom/administration
building, the Annie Gabriel Library,
and Van Dyne Gym.
Our students:
More than 3,100 students attend CBU, coming to Riverside from more than 40
states and 20 countries.
Our faculty:
California Baptist University currently has more than 200 faculty members (104
full-time), 65 percent of whom hold terminal degrees in their areas of study.
The student-to-faculty ratio is 16-to-1.

Sports:
The Lancers participate in the National
Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as
a member of the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) which
is made up entirely of four-year Christian colleges in California.
