Description

This is a comprehensive course that will prepare students for clinical practicum courses and, ultimately, clinical practice. Students will learn the entire clinical practice, including taking and giving referrals, taking case histories, assessing/treating patients, and writing documentation. Students will also learn coding and billing for private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare. Navigating ethical issues, protecting PHI, maintaining licensure, establishing professional networks, and managing a caseload will also be covered. Prerequisite: CDS 250. (3 units; Fall/Spring)
