Description

Students will explore the purpose of rhetorical criticism including the various ways to practice rhetorical criticism as it applies to contemporary culture. Students will learn the role of the critical act in culture and society. Students will learn that rhetorical criticism is a method of inquiry and way in which we can view discourse. Students will learn various models used in rhetorical criticism, be familiar with seminal exemplars of criticism and develop their own skills as critics. (3 units; As Offered; OPS only)
