Personal Quote

"I am mastered by the passages of Scripture which I have quoted, and my conscience is captive to the Word of God. I cannot and will not recant, for it is neither safe nor honest to violate one's conscience. I can do no other. Here I take my stand, God being my helper." --Martin Luther, appearing before the Diet of Worms in 1521

Personal Biography

Raised by godly parents, I came to know Christ early in life. My entire life has really been focused on seeking to follow God's directives as revealed in His Word. I sensed God's direction toward Christian ministry as a teenager and used college and seminary degrees to prepare for the fulfillment of that calling. After 7 years of full-time youth ministry, I earned a Ph.D. and then became a part of the CBU faculty in 1996. I find great joy in helping to ignite in students a passion for deeper study of the Bible
