Georgia and I have been married since December 1987 and have two children. Our daughter Cameron is a graduate of Union University and is teaching in Lehi, Utah; our son Connor is a recent graduate of Gordon College.

Personal Biography

Raised by godly parents, I came to know Christ early in life. My entire life has really been focused on seeking to follow God's directives as revealed in His Word. I sensed God's direction toward Christian ministry as a teenager and used college and seminary degrees to prepare for the fulfillment of that calling. After 7 years of full-time youth ministry, I earned a Ph.D. and then became a part of the CBU faculty in 1996. I find great joy in helping to ignite in students a passion for deeper

An introduction to the Pentateuch and Former Prophets and the ancient Near Eastern cultural and historical background of Israel's history and sacred literature. Special emphasis will be given to the ways in which the literary forms of the Old Testament express Israel's understanding of God's activity in the world and the history of the nation. Core requirement for Christian Studies majors. (3 units; Multicultural)
