Description

An in-depth study analyzing large aircraft weight and balance and performance charts, high-speed aerodynamics, instrument approach plates and high altitude enroute charts. An introduction to 14 CFR 121 and 117 regulations applicable to domestic and flag carriers will be covered. An analysis of aviation weather will be conducted including interpreting charts and weather theory. This course will prepare students for the ADX FAA knowledge test. Students must be age 21 to receive permission to enroll. Fee: Additional lab fee. Prerequisites: AVN 210, 310, and FLT 119, and permission of the Department Chair. (3 units; Fall)
