Description

Students will examine theories of learning in special education, particularly as they apply to behavior management in young children with disabilities. Principles of applied behavior analysis will be used in a case study. This course meets one of the requirements of the California Child Development Permit, Area of Specialization: Early Childhood Intervention. Global Fieldwork Experience: This course allows students to observe and experience diverse cultures, including educational systems, religious traditions, food, and people. Activities, discussions, and assignments have been designed from a Biblical worldview. Reflective practices will allow students to assess discipline-specific areas and increase cultural competency to inform their future careers in education.
