Description
This course is an introductory methods course for students seeking a career in education. This course is a study of the Visual and Performing Arts and the Physical Education California Frameworks. Integrating Visual/Performing Arts and Physical Education into the Elementary Classroom will focus on understanding California�s goals for teaching elementary age students non-core curriculum content. This course will focus on appropriate instructional and assessment goals. This course will also include strategies for teaching non-core content in settings heavily impacted by state assessments and pacing guides. Six hours of observation and four hours of teacher aiding are required. Pre-requisites EDU 300 and 302. (2 units)
