Description

This course will provide candidates with an advanced theoretical foundation related to the distinct characteristics of mild/moderate disabilities. Candidates will use information regarding characteristics of individuals with mild/moderate service needs to develop instructional interventions that honor and support the unique characteristics of these individuals. The course consists of three components: (a) a clinical component in which CBU candidates will work directly with elementary students on a regular basis; (b) a face-to-face component in which CBU candidates engage in the course content directly with the course the professor unless otherwise specified; (c) an online component in which CBU candidates engage in online learning experiences designed to introduce, reinforce, or expand the candidates knowledge and skills. Prerequisites: Credential program acceptance, EDU 341, and 409. (4 units; As offered)
