Description
In this course, students will focus on learning and retaining new vocabulary as well as common word patterns, collocations, and word forms. They will learn different techniques that can aid in vocabulary retention, as well as being able to utilize the new vocabulary in both university courses and daily life. The focus will be on comprehending and utilizing words from the 2,000 most common English word list. 3 Lecture hours/week. Pass/Fail. Prerequisite: ESL 010 or appropriate placement score.
