Description
In this course, students will gain academic reading proficiency through weekly reading assignments at the advanced level. Students will be exposed to various fields of study, and will improve their reading comprehension, critical thinking, and understanding of academic vocabulary. Pass/Fail. Class hours: 4 Lecture/week. Prerequisites: ESL 050 or appropriate placement score and departmental approval. (2 units; As offered)
