Description
This course provides an activity-based approach to acquiring the skills needed to instruct cooperative movements in physical activity and team sports. Emphasis is on the ability to apply appropriate movement forms for physical growth and development in middle-school aged children. This activity-based course focuses on the science of human movement, social development, cultural, and historical norms. Students will engage in collaborative learning, practical experience, and structured fieldwork hours. The course is designed to meet California Teacher Credentialing requirements, PETE recommendations, and California physical education content standards for Middle School Students. Prerequisite: KIN 310. (3 units; Fall)
