Description
Students will learn basic concepts of Linear Algebra and multivariable calculus in the context of differential equations. Analytic and numerical methods of solving ordinary differential equations will be discussed. Furthermore, students will be briefly introduced to the qualitative theory of ordinary differential equations. Separation of Variables will be discussed as a method for solving partial differential equations as well as some other methods. Problems discussed in class will have applications in engineering, physics, biology, and chemistry. MAT 255 and Pre-Chemical Engineering or Chemical Engineering major. (3 units; Spring)
