Description

Students will learn basic concepts of multivariable calculus and ordinary differential equations. Vectors, multi-variable functions, line integrals and analytic methods for solving some first-order and second-order ordinary differential equations (including Laplace Transforms) will be discussed. Fourier Transforms and Separation of Variables will be briefly introduced as a method for solving some partial differential equations. Some problems discussed in class will have applications in engineering, physics, biology, and chemistry. Prerequisite: MAT 255. (3 units; Spring)
