Description
The course focuses on helping students acquire skills to conduct a comprehensive health assessment. The process of data collection, interpretation, documentation, and dissemination of assessment data will be addressed. The practicum provides students with the opportunity to use interview, observation, percussion, palpation, inspection and auscultation in assessing clients across the lifespan in simulated and actual settings. Practicum: Six (6) hours/week. Additional nursing fee. Prerequisite: Permission of the Dean. Concurrent Requisite: NUR 512. (2 units; As offered)
