Description
Theoretical basis for professional nursing practice with childbearing families. Emphasis is on childbearing as a family experience, nurse-family processes, and changing health patterns with childbearing families. Nursing role, communication/ collaboration activities and teaching-learning opportunities with health promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention will be discussed. Prerequisite: Permission of the Dean. Pre- or Co- Requisite: NUR 533. (3 units; As offered)
