Description
This course will build on part I and allow the advanced practice nurse to focus on the health care needs of the family
unit in order to improve patient outcomes by providing the theory and practice of primary care of children. This course
will prepare family nurse practitioners to assume responsibility for health promotion and illness prevention through
maintenance and management of common developmental, behavioral, acute, and chronic health problems of infants,
children, and adolescents in primary health care settings. Prerequisite: NUR 571. Lecture: 3 units; Clinical: 3 units. (6 units)
