Description
This course explores the theory and application of advanced clinical skills within the practice of physical therapy. The role of the physical therapist assistant within the progression of the physical therapy plan of care is examined. Effective rehabilitative care, orthotics, gait deviations, amputations, and prosthetics are discussed. Developing skill competency in treatment interventions using sterile technique for wound care, effective ergonomic training and patient education and inspection of environmental safety are emphasized.
