Description
This course will introduce students to the fiber-reinforced composite materials and structures with emphasis on numerical analysis. Topics covered in this course will include composite micromechanics and failure criteria, design considerations for structures made of composite materials, and the overview of fabrication process and experimental characterization. Prerequisite: EGR 242 (3 units; Fall)
