Description
This course focuses on the fundamental processes that govern the fate and transport of anthropogenic organic chemicals in the natural environment. This course explores chemical and physical properties of organic contaminants, relationship for organic chemicals solubility and partitioning between the phases of interest; water, soil, air, and biota, and transformation processes. Lecture (3 units) and required laboratory (1 unit). Additional lab fee. Prerequisites: CHE 125 and 370. (4 units; Fall, odd years)
