Description
In this course, students continue to develop rhythm and intonation of American speech patterns. They will learn to recognize and pronounce the individual sounds of English. Students will also examine the English spelling system to identify the discrepancy between spelling and sounds. Class hours: 2 per week. Pass/Fail. Prerequisite: ESL 008 or appropriate placement score. (1 unit; As offered)
