Description
In this course, students will be introduced to the basics of academic research. They will learn how to formulate a research question, evaluate sources, and integrate outside material into their writing. By the end of the semester, students will be able to write a short APA styled research paper. Pass/Fail. Class hours: 2 per week. Prerequisites: ESL 050, 051, or appropriate placement score and departmental approval. (1 unit; As offered)
