Adam Watts is a Songwriter/Producer/Mixer/Visual Artist/Author with 50 Million Albums Sold Worldwide. He is also an acclaimed solo artist with ten self-produced solo releases. He is the author of the book "The Human of Being Art: A Holistic Approach to Being an Artist and Creating Art" which outlines a uniquely integrative approach to the arts. This approach focuses on the development of the potential of the unique individual, their overall wellbeing, and the quality, purposes, and depth of their artistic creativity. This focus extends from the personal to the interpersonal and out into the context of a career in the arts. Watts is now an Adjunct Professor at CBU in the Commercial Music dept. with a focus on their new SongWriting Degree.

Description

Study of the business and creative aspects of music production. Emphasis is placed on project development and tracking from demo to final product, creative and aesthetic considerations, assessing needs of artist, song selection and analysis, and artistic development and creative vision. Prerequisite: MUS 347. (3 units; Spring)
