Description
Jazz Combo provides musicians with opportunities to study and perform standard, traditional, and contemporary jazz literature for small ensemble, and to develop individual improvisational skills. It is open to qualified students by audition or instructor's consent. Students must have sophomore status and prior experience to take Upper Division ensembles. Students must be enrolled in at least one ensemble for full credit each semester. Additional ensembles may be taken for zero (0) units. May be repeated for a maximum of twelve (12) units. Prerequisite: MUS 095 or 096. Concurrent Requisite: MUS 072, 079, 080, 081, 082, 083, 084, 085, 086, 087, 088, 089, 460, 461, 462, 463, 464, 465, 466, 467, 468, or 469. (0-1 units; Fall/Spring)
