Description

The course includes two (2) credit hours theory, two (2) credit hours/laboratory practicum and focuses on helping students acquire skills to conduct a comprehensive health assessment. The process of data collection, interpretation, documentation and dissemination of assessment data will be addressed. The practicum provides students with the opportunity to use interview, observation, percussion, palpation, inspection and auscultation in assessing clients across the lifespan in simulated and actual settings. Two (2) hours/week theory; Six (6) hours/week practicum. Prerequisite: Permission of the Dean. (4 units; Fall/Spring)
