Description

This course will prepare the student to consult in the design and enhancement of information technology related to interactive, web-based systems in healthcare while they evaluate the ethical, legal, and cultural implications, including copyright, privacy, and confidentiality issues. Emphasis will be placed on emerging technologies as students analyze, design, implement, and evaluate information system technologies. Content will also include evaluation of impact of information technologies on clinical practice, education, administration, and research. Lecture: 3 units (3 units)
