Description

Student use descriptive and analytic approaches to examine the distribution of disease in populations, relative risk, and cultural factors. Statistical support of decisions to treat are emphasized including point and interval estimators, risk evaluation, odds ration, and analysis of dichotomous and continuous variables representing health outcomes. Concepts are applied to the critique of nursing and other discipline's research which can be used in translating evidence to practice. Lecture: 2 units. (2 units; As offered)
