Description
Candidates will identify and assess problem behaviors and pathology in a multicultural educational setting; design positive behavioral support plans and develop comprehensive behavioral supports for students who exhibit serious and dangerous behaviors. They will design individual and school-wide plans to effect positive behavior change, analyze data to develop effective intervention strategies, and communicate these findings clearly. They will develop the knowledge and skills to address serious behavioral problems. Global Fieldwork Experience: This course allows students to observe and experience diverse cultures, including educational systems, religious traditions, food, and people. Activities, discussions, and assignments have been designed from a Biblical worldview. Reflective practices will allow students to assess discipline-specific areas and increase cultural competency to inform their future careers in education.
