Here is what the individual study abroad process looks like:

1. Attend a Study Abroad Information Session

  • Attend a Study Abroad Information Session in order to begin the application process for Study Abroad through California Baptist University.
  • Questions are most welcome. 
  • Please arrive early, as the sessions begin on time. We also ask that you stay for the entire duration of the session.
  • All session dates, times, and locations are found below.

2. Research / Start a Program Search

  • Select a country and program/organization to study through.
  • Click here for more information on approved study abroad providers.

3. Meet with the Director of Academic Engagement

  • Once you have decided on a program and country, meet with the Director of Academic Engagement.
 

4. Begin Your Application

  • Complete selected program/organization's application.
  • Download and print the Petition to Study Abroad.
  • Meet with Academic Advising and obtain signature on relevant section of Petition to Study Abroad.
  • Meet with your Department Chair and obtain signature on relevant section of Petition to Study Abroad.
  • Complete the Pre-Decision Online Forms here.
  • Submit your completed Petition to Study Abroad to the Director of Academic Engagement

5. After Acceptance

  • Complete post-decision online forms here. You will be required to include a scanned copy of your passport. 
  • Attend a mandatory pre-departure orientation before you leave.

6. Upon Return

  • Attend a mandatory debrief meeting.
  • Report any change of courses while overseas.
  • Get involved. Become a Global Ambassador and share with other students.
